This position is in support of the Field Operations team operating at Hindan Air Force Base, Ghaziabad. The Field Operations team supports C-17 aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF). The selected candidate will work independently and take quick decisions to ensure high mission capability of the fleet. He/she will maintain close liaison with the customer and assist and direct rectification of faults in aircraft and mission systems. The successful candidate must have patience to understand customer expectations and learn quickly to assist the customer in interpreting and using C-17 technical data. Candidate may have to work for extended hours in a varied cultural environment and must be willing to travel and work in shifts. Previous military experience will be an added advantage. Other duties and responsibilities are assigned by management.

The candidate must be able to think outside the box and execute to program objectives. The ability to comprehend standard US technical manuals is essential, as is strong verbal and written English skills. Candidates with experience of developing, coordinating and directing aircraft structural repair will be preferred. Training on C-17 and Boeing processes for field services support will be provided.

Responsibilities will include:

-Provide technical field support for C-17 aircraft and associated ground environment systems.

- Resolve maintenance and operational issues. Interpret technical documents and monitor product performance.

- Analyze technical data and evaluate maintenance procedures. Develop and conduct adhoc training.

- Perform and Guide troubleshooting procedures using established processes for multiple systems coverage.
- Respond to operational issues by interpreting technical documents. Identify, diagnose and resolve issues for non-specified maintenance occurrences.
- Collaborate with company organizations to isolate equipment problems not detected by diagnostics and documentation.
-Monitor product performance. Collect technical data, evaluate maintenance procedures, perform analysis and document trends.

- Solicit customer feedback and initiate action to improve satisfaction with company products and services.
-Provide guidance to less experienced field service representatives.

Qualification and Experience required:

- Bachelor's degree (Engineering preferred) with 8 or more years' related work experience is MUST.

- Candidates with current AME licenses and experience of more than 12 years may also apply.

- Must have a rich experience of aircraft maintenance (preferable medium/heavy transports) with a    demonstrable track record of troubleshooting a wide range of aircraft and mission systems.

- Familiarity of Boeing technical support processes & procedures is desirable.

Job Purpose:
  1. He will be shift in-charge for fire station 5 independently for smooth operation of one runway and associated Twys in his jurisdiction.
  2. To implement & monitor the SOPs & contingency plans of the Rescue and Firefighting related emergencies on the runway and associated Twys in jurisdiction of FS 5.
  3. Maintain the declared Airport category as per Civil Aviation Requirement (DGCA CAR) at FS 5.
  4. Ensure timely response to all emergencies and protect the aircraft, passengers and other properties.
  5. Successfully implement the role of ARFF as per the airport emergency plan.
  6. Ensure the upkeep and serviceability of the appliance and equipment at fire station 5
  7. Ensure the safety of the staff as well as the appliances/equipment  during airport emergencies
  8. Coordinate with different departments during airport emergencies for the effective rescue and firefighting.
  9. Assurance of station discipline at FS 5.
  10. Ensure all compliances including training related to his team.
